VI RT series and VI THID have a battery life test embedded in the firmware. The test is checking the battery condition every 28 days.

It is possible to disable the test using below commands.

Enabling
command: AT1
response: ACK
Disabling
command: AT0
response: ACK
Query
command: AT?
response: ATx (x=1: enable; x=0: disable)
